The whole reason for studying God's word is to grow in our love for Him and for our neighbor.  It is an act of devotion, loving him with all of our mind.  Yet, it is not exclusively an act of the mind; it must lead to our heart and hands.  Hence, studying Scripture leads to good works for the glory of God.

The ministries offfered at FGRC attempt to integrate the mind, heart, and hands in devotion to God, shaping us and helping us to grow up in all things into Christ our Lord.  The mind is not to be checked at the door when you come to worship.  At the same time, neither are we to focus only on the mind to the exclusion of the heart and and hands.  Hence, we strive to worship with our entire being.  In a way, the ministries at FGRC cultivate all parts of us as the soil so that we can bear the fruit of good works to the glory of God.
